Who is the therapist?
Hi, I’m Aubrey! I practice and respect massage therapy because I find it to offer many effective tools for naturally improving clients’ wellness.
I grew up in the heart of the Willamette Valley, just an hour or two south of the city. The forests and mountains here feel like home in a way that calls me back every time, no matter how far I travel.
In Corvallis I earned my Bachelor’s in Mathematics, and later completed my bodywork training at East West College in Portland.

What should I expect / wear?
Functional Massage is a little different from the relaxation-focused spa treatments that the word ‘massage’ can bring to mind. Your comfort and safety are my top priorities, and right there with them is your return to a free, active lifestyle.
I’d recommend comfortable clothing, such as what you might wear to hike, practice yoga, exercise, or dance. For my clients who prefer unclothed massage, I uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and draping.
While some techniques may cause some discomfort, we want to stay at or below the level of ‘therapeutic pain’ – around a 4 out of 10 on your personal intensity scale. It is counterproductive to the bodywork session if what we’re doing increases your tension! I encourage you to speak for your preferences on pressure and specific areas of focus.
